Catch the Stars Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides youth with FITNESS, LITERACY and MENTORING programs that encourage them to SET GOALS, DREAM BIGGER and ACHIEVE MORE!

Mission

The Catch the Stars Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization founded by 4-time Olympic Gold Medalist & Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings in 2004. She created the foundation because she understands that the youth of today are the stars of tomorrow and that many never reach their full potential because they lack positive programs, mentors and support.

The foundation is geared towards providing positive academic, youth development and fitness related programs for at risk youth between the ages of 7-18 in the metropolitan Indianapolis area. Our programs encourage youth to set goals, dream bigger and achieve more.

Our History

Over 15,000 youth have been IMPACTED via the foundation’s Camps, Fitness Clinics, Back to School Celebrations, Mentoring programs, Reading Corners and Scholarship programs.

Olympic Gold Medalist and WNBA All‐Star Tamika Catchings created the Catch the Stars Foundation in the spring of 2004. She is a community leader and embraces being a positive role model by encouraging youth to be all that they can be.

Catchings felt compelled to start the foundation because she understands that the youth of today are the stars of tomorrow and the lack of support for our youth results in many never reaching their full potential.

The Catch the Stars Foundation empowers youth to achieve their dreams by providing goal setting programs that promote fitness, literacy and youth development. Our programs are targeted to youth throughout Indianapolis, with a specific emphasis on supporting and assisting under-served and low to moderate income communities throughout our city.
